About Leila Alaei, AFCA
Visual Artist · Art Educator · Exhibiting Member, FCAArt has been the language of my life for more than 25 years.
As a visual artist, educator, and founder of Leila Art Institute, I believe that art has the power to connect people, inspire growth, and reveal beauty beyond words.
My artistic journey began in childhood and evolved into a lifelong dedication to painting, creativity, and artistic excellence. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, and pastel, I create works that explore emotion, memory, light, nature, and the human experience. Through every painting, I seek to create meaningful connections between the viewer and the story behind the canvas.
In 2026, I was awarded Exhibiting Membership (AFCA) by the Federation of Canadian Artists, a professional distinction recognizing artistic excellence through a peer-juried evaluation process.
Before moving to Canada, I founded and directed Leila Galerie in Tehran, where I spent a decade supporting artists, curating exhibitions, and fostering artistic engagement within the community. My work has been exhibited in Iran, Turkey, and Canada and is held in private collections internationally.
Today, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, I continue to create, exhibit, teach, and inspire through art. As an art educator, I work with children, youth, and adults, helping students develop both technical skills and creative confidence while discovering their unique artistic voice.
Whether you are a collector searching for meaningful artwork, a gallery interested in collaboration, or a student beginning your creative journey, I warmly welcome you to explore my work and become part of this artistic community.
Art has the power to inspire, heal, connect, and transform. I am grateful to share that journey with others.
